About South Central Forest Products LLC

Our mission is to provide informed decisions to you, the landowner, on the future of your forest.

Early in life I knew I loved trees, wildlife, and our environment. And early in my career I understood that people own the trees that make up the majority of our forests in the northeast. I find it a great privilege to be able to work with these important landowners in NY and PA and share my knowledge of Forest Management with them. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know your woodlands as well as your goals and objectives regarding them! I am proud to say I am able to offer forest landowners a great combination: a personable business owner, over 25 years of knowledge and experience with landowners and forestry, strong relationships with DEC foresters and other natural resources professionals, time tested and professional relationships with timber buyers, loggers, sawmills, and a drive to satisfy my clients with an eagerness to always learn more.

It takes a long time to grow hardwood timber and making the right decisions on how to manage this naturally renewable resource takes informed decision making by landowners. I will be providing my forestry services for years to come and do so within 150 miles of Greene, NY.
Because of my unique and ongoing experience with trees and the people that own them, I am able to give you, the landowner a personal experience that other larger, consulting firms can’t match.

ABOUT ME

Mike Blasko

President & Founder

My education consists of an Associate’s Degree from the NYS Ranger School in Wanakena, NY (1988) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Resource Mgt. form SUNY-Environmental Science and Forestry (1990). My career began as a procurement forester buying sawlogs and hardwood timber where I worked to benefit sawmills, lumber, and veneer companies. I have owned SCFP since 2005 and I now put those years of experience to the benefit of private landowners. With my knowledge and experience, I can help put the sawmills and loggers to work for you through the process of competitive bidding. My services will eliminate time and confusion involved in marketing and selling your timber, as well as overseeing the harvest and cleanup. This can be especially important to absentee landowners.
